Katie & Ryan have been clients of mine since the YYT photo days, and this year it was finally their turn to celebrate their love with a wedding! These high school sweethearts grew up just minutes apart in a small town outside of Port Rexton, and their families have been close ever since their graduation.
Their story is a beautiful example of young love growing into lifelong commitment...a true highlight for Newfoundland weddings.
Their Port Rexton wedding began with a few intimate getting-ready photos at their family homes, capturing the excitement and emotion of the day.
Katie & Ryan chose an iconic bay spot for their first look, making the most of Newfoundland’s stunning coastal scenery.
After their first look, we headed to the Port Rexton Brewery, where Katie & Ryan enjoyed some good drinks and delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, a relaxed and fun moment that perfectly captured their personalities. It was a great way to take a breather and enjoy a little time together before the ceremony.
Next, we made our way to their ceremony location, which offered a breathtaking backdrop of the Port Union. The ceremony was full of heartfelt moments, laughter, and tears, celebrating these high school sweethearts finally uniting in marriage.
Following the ceremony, we took a leisurely walk around the area for family photos and even included some adorable shots with their dogs!
The evening continued with their reception, where friends and family celebrated alongside Katie & Ryan. Before the day ended, we captured golden hour photos, making the most of Newfoundland’s magical light to create timeless memories of their special day.
Katie & Ryan’s Newfoundland wedding was a beautiful mix of intimate moments, coastal scenery, and genuine love.
