A June St. John's Wedding in Newfoundland

Updated: Dec 14, 2025

Winnie and Emmanuel's love story is a beautiful modern romance. Like many couples today, they met online and spent their university years together in St. John's, Newfoundland. With rich cultural roots, they planned to celebrate their love with a grand wedding in their hometown in Nigeria.

However, they envisioned this event as "their wedding" rather than a family-centered celebration. They opted for a more intimate affair with close friends and select family members with a St. John's Wedding.

We captured most of their couple portraits before the ceremony for their special day, as they wanted to share a first look. Their ceremony and reception were held at the Gypsy Tea Room on Water Street in downtown St. John's, a stunning venue with a rustic wine cellar vibe, dark and moody ambiance, and fantastic food. The decor added a beautiful touch to the atmosphere.

After a short and sweet ceremony, we walked downtown for some gorgeous photos by the iconic Jellybean Row houses. The entire day was a perfect blend of love, culture, and timeless memories. A summer St. John's Wedding!
